For the second year in a row the Massachusetts Elite football teams won their way into the Elite 8 of the FBU National Championship which will begin on December 16. All three teams competed in and won their Northeast regional bracket games, which were held in Holmsdel, New Jersey on November 20 and December 1.
“We are very proud of our teams,” said Mass Elite co-owner PJ Vande Rydt. “Our players have worked very hard to get to this point. We have 119 young men from 33 cities and towns across Massachusetts and represent a true cross section of football leagues and school programs.”
One of those players is Marco DiPlacido, who is making his third apperance on the big stage. He played for West Boylston Youth football, winning the Division 1 Superbowl and squaring off against Mansfield in the state finals before heading into the FBU National Chapmpionship with Team Mass.
